I don't usually wear much make-up. Why is it so important for my wedding?
It is a shame to neglect your face. A bare face can look out of place against a beautiful dress and a special hairstyle. Don't worry, I will make you look naturally your very best. No painted faces!
Will I look too different or heavily made-up?
Too much make-up and you could resemble a painted doll, too little and you could look pale and tired. You will find the way I make you up is second to none - natural enough, yet strong enough to enhance your own best features and perfect your complexion.
What make-up do you use? Will it suit me?
Some pearlised make-up from cosmetic counters is not suitable against a white or pale wedding dress. Reflections from the dress will also drain colour from your face. Frosted make-up will emphasise this. A soft look is essential. I use the most professional make-up and latest fashion colours, mostly hypo-allergenic, for a soft look without unattractive shine. I use products such as Decleor, Clarins, Mac, YSL, Estee Lauder and more...
When should I book my make-up and hair?
A good make-up artist and stylist is always busy. I recommend you ask for a consultation as soon as possible, 6-12 months in advance if you can. However, I also do my best to fit in last minute bookings - and of course I can always offer you a consultation by email/phone and then an e-guide.
I am good at doing my own make-up. Can I do it myself?
Absolutely. However, remember wedding makeup is different from your day to day makeup and even party makeup. Therefore I suggest we have an email/phone consultation and I give you an e-guide of suggested colours, brands, application, tips and ideas for your individual wedding day look.
How far will you travel?
I am happy to travel to the ends of the earth for you - but further than a 20 mile radius from my home will incur fair travel expenses! Please see a list of my local areas.
How much do you charge?
I believe you will find my prices more than reasonable. Check them out here and then compare them to what others charge. I love my work and get much of it by recommendation.
Also, because I am mobile and don't have fixed charges for premises, I can pass on this saving to you.
